Golfing ban on the Playing Field:
Whilst litter-picking the playing field recently three golf balls were found around the perimeter in the rough grass, significantly one within the children’s playground. There are of course a number of reasons why they might have been there but discussion with others who visit the field would suggest that this is not the first time balls have been found; indeed residents have also been observed using the playing field as a practice driving range! Whilst the risk of fatal injury is very small the risk of a life-changing injury is far greater and because of their size the balls can be a hazard to dogs walking on and around the field.
Bramham Parish Council does not permit the use of the field as a practice golf range and as there are a few who appear to believe it does information notices will be posted as soon as possible; in the interim the Council would ask all those who have been involved with the practice to find an alternative venue.
