The Bramham Community Fund was set up by the owners of Bramham Park and the promoter Festival Republic in 2003 to distribute the monies available to Bramham as a result of the Leeds Festival. This money has come from donations made by residents obtaining heavily discounted tickets for the event. Every year, a committee under the chairmanship of Nick and Rachel Lane Fox considers applications for grants from community organisations. Since the Fund was set up, it has made grants of over £½million.
The objective of the Fund is generally to support community projects and these must benefit the residents of Bramham. The Fund does not support commercial activities or private individuals.
At its meeting in March the committee made the following grants:
Bramham Village Hall Replacement pre-amplifier £338
Bramham Village Hall Christmas lunch/hamper for £500
elderly and isolated residents
Bramham Village Hall Replacement stage curtains £750
Community Action Group Village Gala £843
1st Clifford Scouts Camping and associated equipment £1470
Community Action Group Christmas lights £5680
All Saints’ Church Churchyard tree work £6000
Bramham Parish Council Children’s playground £10,000
The Fund also supports the shuttle bus between the village and the festival and the
ticket administration costs.
It is expected that the committee will meet in March 2027 to consider grants from the 2026 Festival. An announcement will be made in the magazine nearer the date and any community organisation wishing to apply for a grant will be required to submit an application no later than 14 February 2027.
