Bramham Parish Centre official opening

The Bramham Parish Centre was officially opened by Nick and Rachel Lane Fox on Sunday 8th October 2023.  Many residents were in attendance and they enjoyed a glass of wine and slice of  Yorkshire tea loaf whilst whilst looking around the centre and the garden.

Cllr Linda Richards spoke on behalf of the council:

The building has a long history of serving the community of Bramham.  I would like to thank Nick and Rachel Lane Fox for coming today to celebrate the the continued connection between the new centre and the Bramham Park Estate.

The decision to undertake its complete redevelopment was not an easy one one, but one which successive parish councils have worked on, and we stand in the end product of all the work which has been done towards making it a more user friendly resource.
Thanks are therefore given to those people and organisations who have funded the project
The Community Fund at various stages (including Melvin Benn of Festival Republic)
Ward Councillors past and present.
Parish Councils past and present for having the vision and the tenacity to follow through on a tricky project
and to those who have worked hard to make the project a reality:
Parish councillors  who worked with  Leeds City Council on the plan and design
Thompson’s Architects for managing and overseeing the project.
APT for the actual build and to Cllr Mark Tozer who took on the burden of project managing at the build stage.
Residents for the physical work of the landscaping with special mention to Jane Paterson for her diligent research into the best plants to use and for the actual hard work involved in the planting.
This centre was first built to serve a specific need of this community, it will continue to do that but now with Wi-Fi, water and a toilet it has the chance to serve more sections of Bramham and beyond.
Much thought has gone into its build, design and purpose but the overall aim is to be a resource for residents in the centre of the village.
Hopefully it’s future will be as long as it’s past and that it continues to serve the residents of Bramham as was its original intention.
