Once again, the Bramham produce show revealed the many talents of our community. Fruits, vegetables, jellies and jams, chutneys and curds, gins and cordials alongside gorgeous looking eggs, fabulous flowers. all showed the care which had gone into the growing, making and arrangements. The Baking section revealed a huge talent in our younger age group and the textiles entries showed so much expertise. The woodworking section astonished everyone in its quality and imaginative objects. The Children’s Section was disappointing in the number of entries but pleasing in the items produced.
Despite the monsoon downpour just before the opening in the afternoon, many residents came to support the event.
Folly Allotments manned the Barbecue and All Saints Church ran a hugely successful tea and cake stall. Thanks are also owed to the Scouts for hosting a very popular rock painting event with the younger age group.
The Parish Council are hugely grateful to everyone who entered and supported this event which enables smaller groups to fundraise.
We are also aware that without the practical support of the residents who came to help erect and dismantle the marquee it might not have been possible to hold this community event.
Bramham is indeed fortunate to have volunteers who work together to make these events happen.
